I’m working with a Biomarker and Pharmacokinetics consultancy who are on the lookout for an experienced Biomarker Scientists, specialising in neuroscience for a major global pharmaceutical company. You will be enacting clinical biomarker strategy and be part of a highly matrixed team to manage the day to day biomarker activities.
Job Responsibilities Include;
Assessment of protein/metabolite biomarker technology landscape and opportunities within a therapeutic indication focusing initially on neurodegeneration.
Expertise with assay technologies for protein-based biomarkers including ELISA-based and high-sensitivity protein assay platforms.
Expertise with design, implementation and analysis of proteomics and metabolomics assessment of biomarker responses.
Expertise in assessment and development of novel biomarker approaches in fluid or tissue samples (e.g. blood, CSF, biopsy.
Candidate Requirements Include;
Emphasis on knowledge of neuroscience biomarkers particularly neurodegeneration and inflammation in the CNS.
Prior experience (3-5 years) of clinical trials, clinical drug development and implementation of biomarkers within such trials is required. Knowledge of the neuroscience therapeutic area is desirable.
Previous experience obtained in a major pharmaceutical company or in a large CRO organisation within a biomarker or clinical project management role is required.
Must be eligible to live and work in the U.K.
